Patient Assistance Program RX (PAPrx)is a program is designed to help doctors, medical staff, pharmacists, and others to effectively utilize Patient Assistance Programs
(PAPs) on behalf of their patients. Pharmaceutical companies have developed PAPs to help low income patients maintain their health and well-being by offering prescription drugs at either no cost or a small co-pay for those who qualify. The down side to most of these programs is the extra staff time necessary to complete the paperwork.
Seniors and indigent patients may be not able to follow the medical advice of their physician due to the high cost of prescription drugs.
ElderMeds.com (see Assistance for Senios) was created in
1999 to handle PAP form processing for seniors. This service processes PAP forms for over 500 physicians across the USA. We released the companion PAPrx software to
non-profit medical offices in May 2001. Our ongoing service insures that PAPrx is updated immediately to assist patients with more that 100 pharmaceutical company Patient Assistance Programs.
